Swami Vivekanada Medical Mission

Inspired by the teachings of the Patron Saint of Modern India, the aim of the Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission is to serve the most destitute in spirit, and offer a sense of responsibility, sacrifice, service and devotion to the healing of the sick and feeding of the hungry.

The Medical Mission started in 1972 by opening a medical dispensary in a former cowshed at Muttil near Kalpetta. Through dedication, volunteers steadily grew the effort into a hospital with three medical officers and visiting specialists.
